“The culmination in cellular nutrition is the science of selecting and combining foods with highest efficiency at nourishing the cells of the hypothalamus, our mission-critical brain organ that regulates homeostasis, allowing for ideal endocrine and organ balance.” ~ Dr. Michael Kiriac
In Part 1 we took up the growing realization that the chronic diseases devastating the population are caused, not by a dearth of medicine, but rather by a simple lack of basic nutrition. Today we’re going to take a look at how BioSuperfood, due to its superior nutritional makeup and extremely efficient bioavailability, actually triggers cellular awakening and metabolic healing to reverse the downward spiral towards disease into an upward spiral back to health and vitality.
We’re eating, but starving
A common theme running throughout my blog posts is the lack of nutrition in our modern food supply. While we Americans eat abundantly, we do not provide abundant nutrition to our bodies. Rather than feeling energized, we feel sluggish; we may feel full, but in reality we’re starving. Add to this the normal aging process, stress, and our own state of health, and the energy that our food is supposed to provide to our cells never gets there. This results in malnourished cells, which leads to malnourished organs, which leads to deficient metabolic activities, which produce symptoms to which we give a particular disease name. As BioSuperfood inventor Dr. Michael Kiriac tells it, there is only one disease: cellular disease, and there is only one health: cellular health.
Because of poor nutrition, incomplete absorption, and slow cellular regeneration, the blood and tissues in the body accumulate toxins and gradually lose their vitality. If these toxins are not purged regularly, toxicity worsens until the body either purges itself spontaneously – diarrhea, acne, pimples, boils, liver spots, foul perspiration, body odor, bad breath, etc. – or simply gives up the fight and succumbs to degenerative conditions and eventually chronic disease and death.
The most important aspect of food is energy
All life on Earth is ultimately nourished by energy that comes directly from the sun. This energy is first transferred via photosynthesis to the very bottom of the food chain to the simplest forms of plant life such as micro algae, themselves energy producers and truly the “first” food. It is then dissipated as it is transferred farther up the food chain (see figure below), losing more potency with each transfer of energy: algae and more complex plants are eaten by herbivores (primary consumers), which are eaten by carnivores (secondary consumers), which in turn are eaten by other carnivores (tertiary consumers). We can see then how the most energy-efficient foods of all are at the very bottom of the food chain. Indeed, microalgae are able to transfer sunlight energy to molecular reaction centers for conversion into chemical energy with near 100% efficiency. Understanding this should begin to take away some of the mystery surrounding just how such a small — indeed, microscopic! — source of food like microalgae can contain so much energy and nutrition. (There’s a reason whales can survive on this stuff!) That being said, not all species of microalgae are equal; far from it.
Years of research result in the most potent blend of microalgae known to man
Beginning in the 1970s, Dr. Kiriac led a team of hundreds of scientists spanning parts of three decades in studying more than one thousand species of micro algae and determining through precise enhancements and combinations the proper balance, synergy, and nutritional efficiency to come up with what may be the most complete and nutrient-dense source of food known to man. The team eventually settled on four: two species of blue-green Spirulina were selected for their astounding amounts of vitamins, proteins, minerals, and enzymes; yellow-red-green Dunaliella Salina was included for its high level of Vitamin C and composition of mixed carotenoids; and red Haematococcus Pluvialis, which is believed to be the world’s greatest source of astaxanthin, a unique natural carotenoid pigment and extremely powerful biological antioxidant. Originally called Bio-Algae Concentrates, this unique — and so far unmatched — blend of micro algae is available today under the name BioSuperfood.
BioSuperfood delivers this superior nutrition directly to the cells of the brain
The many parts of our body are comprised of billions of cells, each having its own specific task. The cells within the brain, however, are protected behind what is known as the blood-brain barrier: a physical barrier formed by tight junctions between brain cells that prevents the entry of large and potentially toxic molecules into the brain, thus separating the central nervous system and systemic circulation. There are very few foods that have the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and deliver nutrition directly to the brain. With its “extremely efficient” bioavailability, BioSuperfood is one such food.
It has been shown in many human clinical trials that many of the colorful carotenoids in BioSuperfood, including β-carotene, α-carotene, lutein, lycopene, and especially astaxanthin can easily cross the blood-brain barrier. Much more than simply antioxidants (molecules capable of slowing the production of cell-damaging free radicals), these molecules also serve as “energy transfer facilitators,” which due to their elongated molecular structure, can actually penetrate the tight junctions between brain cells and span the cell membrane to deliver the superior and complete nutrition in BioSuperfood directly to “inner sanctum” of the brain cells, fueling the “power-generating” mitochondria that turn sunlight energy into chemical energy (ATP) (at near 100% efficiency!) for use in all the body’s metabolic processes.
The most important brain cells that receive this superior nutrition are within the brain’s “governing” region, or what Dr. Kiriac has coined the “Genius.” The Genius is comprised of the governing organs of our metabolic health: the thalamus, hypothalamus, pituitary and pineal glands, and parts of the cerebellum. These organs and glands are responsible for regulating all physiological metabolisms, which include the endocrine system, the sympathetic and para-sympathetic nervous systems, the central nervous system, the lymphatic system, the cardiovascular system, and the digestive system with its critical assimilation, absorption, and elimination functions.
BioSuperfood triggers cellular awakening and metabolic healing
You can see why supplying nutrition to this region of the brain would be extremely desirable, especially for someone in a state of deteriorating health or chronic disease. The Genius is akin to the body’s conductor standing at the podium, ready to give the proper directions, restore balance among the different instrument sections, and direct the grand symphony that is our body’s metabolic activities. Yet without the proper nutrition, the conductor is sleeping and the different sections of the orchestra (our body’s systems and organs) are unable to know what to play and how to interact with the other instruments. BioSuperfood wakes up the conductor — the Genius — and gets the entire orchestra back on the same page: the downward spiral towards disease is reversed into an upward spiral back to health and vitality.
